Nokia has announced a number of new application partnerships at CTIA Wireless 2012.
It is hoped that the new partnerships will help Nokia progress with its aim of providing different and original app experiences for Nokia Lumia consumers.
Marco Argenti, senior vice-president at Nokia Developed Experience, said the company is focused on delivering locally relevant and exclusive apps.
"With Nokia Lumia smartphones now available in 48 markets, developers are rapidly recognising the business opportunities and creating their best work for our consumers," he added.
There are now over 80,000 apps available in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
Some of the app partnerships include The PGA Tour app, which will be exclusive to the Nokia Lumia for 12 months from its launch, as well as a deal with Rovio, the creators of Angry Birds.
Crawford Del Prete, chief research officer at intelligence firm IDC, said that Nokia and Microsoft were creating "meaningful differentiation" for consumers and developers with their apps.
