Bio
I got a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, then a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý²©²Ê. After graduation I worked as a BIW Design Engineer at Honda R&D Americas and am currently a Product Development Engineer at US Steel.
What do you do at work?
I work in collaboration with application engineers on sheet metal parts, and improvement of product designs for automotive steel components. I analyze and determine specifications, evaluations and applications of engineering options to produce models and drawings and to refine design issues using primarily CATIA V5 and AUTOFORM. I also responsible for maintaining quality, reliability, and consistency of AHSS for Lightweight solutions. Finally, I perform forming analysis on customer vehicle parts, such as: GM RAILS, RH & LH closeout (MALIBU) , Seat Members, Airbag Housing (Lear/JCI/Autoliv), Rails, A, B pillar, Front Header, Roof Bow (Chrysler/Toyota/Honda).
What are you most passionate about in your work? Why?
I am passionate about solving the problems that prevail in the automotive industry. I help the OEM to understand their design flaws and recommend them with design modifications for better manufacturability.
How has your »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý²©²Ê AE experience helped shape your success?
The experience at »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý²©²Ê made me creative by helping me critically think and solve any challenges that I encountered. I gained an overall picture of the procedure and practices that are used in the industry. The professors' guidance and helping nature evolved me into a better personality, thereby molding me as a responsible person who can establish and create an impact in the industry. Being an international student , »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý²©²Ê supported me in all possible ways to guide me in becoming a successful person.
How are you making a positive impact in the world?
I'm making a positive impact in the world by using my technical and people skills to change or create a difference in the industry, and by learning and growing with the company.
What advice do you have for aspiring AEs?
- Be a team player
